June 3. The United Cerebral Palsy LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS Triathlon
took place on June 3rd, 2006 at Lake Lurleen State Park. 1K swim, 25K
bike, 5K run. Results are available here.
May 6. Saturday, Summerize Your Body HealthExpo, 5k Run, half
and quarter century bike rides at Lakewood Baptist Church. Cost to run
or ride or both (you can do the 5K and the 25 miler) is $15. Bike rides
have rest stops and SAG support. More info here.

May 4. We met Thursday night, May 4 at Ying Yang Yoga and had

April 22. Congratulations to all our Mullet Man triathlon finishers!
Amanda Beams' team of gals won the female team division. Justin Ladner
was 5th overall. Laurie Hubbard won first place in her division. Justins
dad won 3rd place in his division. Special congrats to those that participated
and completed the race - we know the swim was rough! Congrats to Michael
Moores dad, Richard Carroll, Brian Darr, Bryan Martin, Susan Lucas
and Ray Hubbard! T2 was well represented! If your name is missing or

April 6. We met Thursday night, April 6 at VeloCity ProCycle

Group. Our own Kendrick Gibson finished first overall!
Coming March 11. The 9th Annual Camp Partlow Trail and Road
Duathlon will be Saturday, March 11, at 8 am at Camp Partlow, just outside
of Tuscaloosa in Coker, Alabama. It will include a 2-mile trail run,
a 17-mile road bike ride, and a second 2-mile trail run.1st, 2nd, and
3rd place awards will be given to the top Overall Male and Female finishers
and to the top three finishers in nine Women divisions and eleven Men
divisions. Awards also to two-person teams in Co-ed, Male, and Female
Teams. Minimum donation of $25 per person by March 4 or $30 on the day

March 2. We met Thursday night, March 2 at 6p.m. at the future
site of VeloCity Pro Cycle which is in Temerson Square, between Coffee
Bean and Tanning Oasis, just down from Roly Poly (not far from Greensboro
and University Blvd. Mark and Brian held a bike maintenance clinic.

February 28. The 1st Annual Columbus Pilgrimage 10K will be
held in Columbus, Mississippi on April 8, 2006 sponsored by the Golden
Triangle Running and Cycling Club. More info is available here.
February 12. A number of Tuscaloosa Triathletes ran in the Mercedes
Half marathon. Most, if not all, bettered their times, and some
completed their first half marathon. Congratulations everyone! Ty Cucarola
(20) finished in 1:37:16.991(12th in his age group), Julie Black (36)
finished in 1:39:16.267 (4th in her age group), Amanda Beams finished
her first half in 2:23:20.077. If you know others who ran, email the

February 7. Lake Lurleen State Park recently started offering
annual passes. Cost is $60 per person, $30 per senior citizen 62 and
over, and $125 per family of four. Annual passes are good Jan. 1 through
December 31 no matter what date purchased. Until the entrance station
is open (mid-March) annual passes may be bought at the office M-F 8:00
to 5:00. If you have any other questions, you can email the park manager
at lakelurleenstpk@mindspring.com.

January 28.The UCP LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS Triathlon
is a go! Woo hoo! It will take place on June 3rd at Lake Lurleen. Swim
1K, bike 25K, run 5K. EVERYONE is needed to work the triathlon. If you
want to compete, you'll need to provide someone to work in your place
on the day of the triathlon. EVERYONE will need to stay after to help
clean up. If you want to help with pre-event work or you are willing
to take responsibility for a single area, contact Mike Higgins at HIGrun@wmconnect.com.

January 4. It is time for our first meeting of 2006! We will

December 2. The club Christmas party will be 730pm, Friday,
December 2 at Amelia's house (4532 Smithfield Drive, Northport, turn

November 12. Several club members participated in
the Firehouse 15k run in Coker to benefit the local volunteer fire department.
10k of the 15k is over a
very hilly dirt/gravel road. Julie Black was the fastest overall
female @ 1:11:23.27 (7:41 pace). Will Peveler won the 30-34 Men at 1:11:22.07
(7:40 pace). Amelia Baldwin won the 40-44 women at 1:55:35.12 (12:26
pace). We won't go into how many runners were in each age group....
Several T2 club members worked the race! Thanks y'all! Complete results

November 5 - Local Ironmen. David
Williams and Hiroshi Smith (Both of Northport) completed

November 5. 10k results. A few T2 folks ran
in the Vulcan Run 10k. Julie Black cruised in at 9th female over
all with a blistering pace of 7:08 for a total time of 44:21. Amelia
Baldwin jogged in much later in 1:07:36, setting a PR by almost
13 minutes and finished in 437th out of 575 females. If you were there

October 30 - Awesome Justin. Justin Ladner
completed his first half ironman today at the 2005 SOMA 1/2 Ironman
Triathlon in Tempe, Arizona. Awesome!!! He finished 4th out of 65 in
his age group (25-29). Full results can be viewed here.
October 13. Some marked bike routes with maps and
cue sheets are now available on the bike
route page.
October 22. The Roger Pritchett Five Miler was run
today. This is the state five mile championship. A number of our members
competed. Tuscaloosa Triathlete Julie Black won the women's division
in 0:35:04.33(7:01 per mile pace), Will Peveler placed second
in the 30-24 age group with a 0:34:23.51 (6:53 pace), Susan Lucas
won the 35-39 division in 0:43:20.97 (8:40 pace) and Amelia Baldwin
finished 4th in the 40-44 age group in 0:53:47.59 (10:46 pace). Several
TT members volunteered at the race, including Mike Higgins, Richard
Carroll, and Ray and Benjamin Hubbard. If you were there
